Be a Volunteer!

Report Child Abuse!

Amarillo Area CASA operates from a variety of federal, state, and private grants. Since the children we serve come from our community, CASA also depends upon the support of our community and it's citizens.

Amarillo Area CASA uses monies donated to pay for the recruitment of new volunteer advocates, for their training, and for the supervision of these volunteers by highly skilled case managers.

Without volunteers, your CASA, would not be able to serve the abused and neglected children it has been appointed too.  That means in the end, the funding you may provide to Amarillo Area CASA, goes not only for our organization but for the future of the community.

There is no better way to improve the future, than to improve the life of a child, one child at a time.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

If you're not able to serve as a CASA volunteer, but believe in the need for helping abused and neglected children, you can still make a significant difference.

Your local CASA program is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization funded by the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and is an affiliate of Texas CASA and the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association. Your tax-deductible gift to CASA will support the training of volunteers so they can be there when an abused or neglected child needs someone most.

Next to your time, your financial support of CASA is the most valuable contribution you can make to help children who do not have the representation they desperately need in court.

“The effect that child abuse has not just on the victims, but on their subsequent victims and on society as a whole, is, in my judgment, far more devastating than the threat of drugs, of political upheaval, of economic disaster, or of environmental destruction... I really think that child abuse is the most significant threat not just to the quality of life in this country, but to life in this country.” -- Ken Kesegich
